Asset Integrity
Asset integrity includes a range of monitoring services to ensure all assets, including structures, continue to provide optimal performance.
Why is Asset Integrity important?
Asset integrity is essential to keeping your equipment running reliably and delivering optimum performance throughout its lifetime.
By employing asset integrity services, you can improve operational safety by detecting faults and issues before they become major problems, avoiding costly repairs and lengthy downtime caused by breakdowns.
Asset integrity covers a full range of monitoring services for structures, rotating equipment, pipework and associated supports, ensuring every part of your operation is safe, efficient and reliable.
How can we help?
The expert engineers at AVT Reliability® have been helping companies improve asset reliability for over 45 years.
With extensive experience in surveys, measurements, and data interpretation, we deliver valuable insights and practical recommendations
to ensure the ongoing safety and integrity of assets that are crucial to your operations.
Our asset integrity services are flexible and scalable, whether you need to monitor small components or assess complete systems.
From troubleshooting areas of concern to engineering permanent solutions, we provide a comprehensive service that helps prevent failures and optimise performance.

Pipework Vibration Compliance
Piping systems, small-bore connections (SBC), and static equipment and structures are often affected by vibrations which can cause fatigue and equipment failure. Pipework vibration assessment plays an essential role in preventing complete failure by identifying potential problems in the early stages.
Operational Deflection Shape (ODS)
Operational deflection shape (ODS) analysis enables visualisation of the movement of a structure by creating a 3D animation. This provides valuable insights into vibration patterns, allowing our engineers to identify where modifications need to be made for improved performance and reliability.
Motion Amplification Survey
Using motion amplification technology, we can detect localised vibration issues and perform
in-depth vibration assessments. This powerful video-based tool captures subtle movements
invisible to the human eye, allowing our engineers to analyse structures, pipework and machinery
with precision and deliver targeted solutions to problem areas.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) uses advanced computerised simulation to predict how a
machine or structure will react under real operating conditions. By assessing designs
before prototypes are built, potential weaknesses can be identified early, reducing
development costs and shortening the time needed to deliver a reliable, high-performing asset.
Stress and Fatigue Assessment
Stress-related defects such as cracks and deformation can develop in static equipment including piping systems, connections and foundations. Simple faults are often straightforward to correct, while complex issues require deeper investigation and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Structural Integrity Monitoring
Continuous monitoring of plant structures is essential to safeguard safety and maintain integrity through all stages of operation, from construction to upgrades and repairs. Structural integrity monitoring delivers real-time insights and forms a vital part of any asset management strategy.
Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA)
Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) uses resonance frequencies to study the structural dynamics of assets, determine damping coefficients, and visualise mode shapes. The insights gained allow engineers to troubleshoot effectively and identify problem areas before they lead to failures.
