Lubrication Management Training Courses with CBM Academy

A lubrication management update course or more in-depth lubrication analysis training will provide the knowledge and skills to implement or improve a lubrication management programme.

A lubrication management update course or more in-depth lubrication analysis training will provide the knowledge and skills to implement or improve a lubrication management programme.

Fluids are essential in the reliable performance and lifespan of machinery, so understanding how to test and analyse them plays an important role in a condition monitoring programme. AVT Reliability® offers three levels of lubrication management training, from basic to advanced, and an additional lubrication update course.

Training can take place online, on-site at the client’s business, or at an offsite training facility.

Lubrication Update Training (1-day course)

This 1-day refresher course is aimed at staff who are already competent in Reliability-Centred Lubrication (RCL) but need updating on advances in lubrication technology and best practices.

The course provides a recap on lubrication theory and analysis, the selection of suitable lubricants, and their role in a maintenance strategy. It includes the latest developments in lubrication theory, oils and testing techniques, lubrication condition control, and a refresher on ISO and HACCP lubrication standards.

Designed for participants with prior knowledge and experience in lubrication management, this course strengthens competence to develop and manage their own lubrication management programme.

Lubrication Analysis Category I (3-day course)

This 3-day training course covers the fundamentals of lubrication analysis and best practices in lubrication management. It explores how to select the right lubricants for different applications and highlights the importance of fluid and oil analysis to ensure the reliability and optimum performance of machinery and equipment.

The course also addresses safety considerations associated with lubricants, both for plant workers and the environment. Practical, interactive learning is encouraged through real-life examples and case studies.

Completing this course ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 55000 standards.

Lubrication Analysis Category II (3-day course)

This intermediate-level training focuses on improving asset reliability in lubrication, oil analysis, and contamination control. Participants are actively engaged through discussions, real-life examples, and case studies to strengthen practical understanding.

The course examines oil analysis maintenance strategies in depth, demonstrating how they can be enhanced to boost reliability, achieve quality goals, and improve profitability. It also covers the integration of key functions within a lubrication management programme, including lubricant selection, contamination measurement, oil sampling and analysis, and wear debris monitoring.

Completing this course ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 55000 standards.

Lubrication Analysis Category III (3-day course)

This advanced Category III course builds on the knowledge gained in Levels I and II, targeting those at management level. It explores lubrication analysis and management in greater depth, focusing on advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and the impact of wear debris and lubricant degradation.

Participants will learn best practice solutions to achieve world-class standards in lubrication analysis and management. Case studies are used throughout the training to encourage discussion and strategy development, enabling attendees to design and implement effective lubrication management programmes in their own organisations.

Completing this course ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 55000 standards.
