Trico Lubrication Solutions

Reliability-Centred Lubrication Solutions

Lubrication is a key building block of any effective reliability programme. The right lubricant must be stored, handled, identified, dispensed and monitored correctly if it is going to protect the asset as intended.

As the UK and Ireland distributor for the Trico product range, AVT Reliability supplies lubrication solutions that help customers reduce contamination risk, prevent lubricant misapplication, improve safety and support long-term asset reliability.

Why Lubricant Storage, Application and Colour Coding Matter

High-quality lubricants can only deliver reliable results when they are protected throughout their lifecycle. Poor storage, uncontrolled dispensing and unclear identification can all introduce avoidable risk.

Contamination Control

Sub-standard lubricant storage and handling can allow dirt, moisture and other contaminants to enter the lubricant before it reaches the asset.

Correct Application

Poor application standards can result in over-lubrication, under-lubrication, spill risk, contamination and unnecessary health and safety concerns.

Lubricant Identification

Colour coding and identification systems help reduce the risk of lubricant misapplication, cross-contamination and human error.

Practical Lubrication Solutions, Backed by Engineering Support

AVT Reliability understands that equipment reliability depends on more than the lubricant itself. We help customers protect lubricants through every stage, from receipt and storage through to transfer, application, monitoring and disposal.

Our engineers can recommend and support the right Trico products for each application, helping customers build cleaner, safer and more controlled lubrication practices across site.

Storage, Dispensing and Identification

Protect Lubricants Before They Reach the Asset

Lubricants may be used regularly or remain in storage for extended periods. In both cases, they must be protected from contamination and clearly identified so the right lubricant reaches the right asset.

AVT Reliability and Trico provide storage and dispensing solutions including Spectrum bulk storage systems, bespoke dispensing store solutions and Spectrum oil containers.

The Spectrum container system uses colour-coded lids and changeable vents to create a clear, practical identification process from storeroom to asset.

Colour Coding Accessories

Colour coding helps reduce lubricant misapplication and supports a clearer lubrication process across storage, dispensing and asset-level identification.

Container Identification

Spectrum container lids, vents and ID tags.

Asset Identification

Metal tags, plastic washers and coloured asset markers.

Grease Point Control

Grease nipple caps, grease gun bands and coloured washer options.

Oiler Identification

Oiler collars and colour-coded accessories for visual control.

Lubricant Application and In-Service Protection

Apply Lubricants Safely, Consistently and Correctly

Trico grease equipment helps users standardise grease handling and application, with options including clear-bodied, high-pressure, side-lever, one-handed and lube shuttle grease guns, as well as grease meters to monitor the amount applied.

Constant level oilers and sump bottles support correct oil levels and help protect in-service lubricants. Sump bottles, also known as bottom sediment drains, allow water and heavier contamination to settle away from the asset so it can be drained quickly and easily.

For pumps and other assets operating where airborne or process contaminants are present, closed system oilers, Watchdog oilers, desiccant breathers and expansion chambers can be combined to improve bearing protection.

Trico breathers and RMF air conditioners for lubricant contamination control

Breathers and Air Conditioners

Keep Moisture and Contamination Away from Lubricants

Assets need to breathe as they operate, warm up and cool down. Desiccant breathers help ensure the air entering the asset is clean and dry, protecting the lubricant and internal components from damaging moisture and contaminants.

Breathers are available in different sizes and connection types to suit applications from small pumps to larger tank systems. Pails, drums, IBCs and bulk tanks also need appropriate breathing and contamination control.

To complement the Trico desiccant breather range, AVT Reliability also offers RMF air conditioners with replaceable filters and ZR gel granules, helping reduce whole-breather disposal and overall cost of ownership.

Need Help Selecting the Right Breather or Air Conditioner?

Breathers and air conditioners must be specified correctly for the application. Air flow, fluid volume exchange, water adsorption rate, connection type, operating environment and asset duty all need to be considered.

AVT Reliability engineers can help assess the application and identify the most suitable solution, whether the requirement is for a small pump, gearbox, hydraulic tank, IBC, bulk storage tank or larger process system.
